Post Natal Depression Counselling - Sure Start

We are now offering Person Centred Counselling to ladies experiencing Post Natal Depression. This new support offers service user ten weekly sessions to talk through their feelings and experiences in a safe and non judgemental environment. Many new mums express feeling very isolated within the community so sessions are conveniently located in one of the 18 Sure Start Children's Centre's which are situated throughout the borough. Some of these centre's even offer free crèche facilities for the children of clients so that childcare is not a barrier to mums getting the help that they need. Referrals are welcome from health professionals and service user with the only requirement being that the client has a recent Edinburgh Post Natal Depression Scale score before sessions can start.
