CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S COUNSELLING
A COUNSELLOR IS SOMEONE:
• Who you can talk to privately
• Who really listens
• Who cares about you
• Who accepts you as you are
• Who can help you find ways of coping with your problems
COUNSELLING TAKES PLACE IN A PRIVATE ROOM
We offer counselling in schools and we hold a service level agreement with St Nathaniel’s Vicarage.
HOW CAN COUNSELLING HELP?
• Counselling can offer you time for yourself
• It’s a chance to look at your thoughts, feelings and problems
• It will give you a safe place to do this
WHATEVER YOU TALK ABOUT WILL BE PRIVATE UNLESS:
• You or somebody else is in danger
• Unless you want someone else to know
WHAT YOU TALK ABOUT IS UP TO YOU
Family problems, bullying, feeling worried, feeling sad, feeling frightened, school problems, friendship problems, feeing angry, feeling lonely, someone died or may have a different reason for needing someone to talk to in private, counselling can provide that space for you.
